Project Desire
This project, in collaboration with the New York City Department of Mental Health & Hygiene, is a mixed-methods study to better understand the increase in HIV incidence in young men who have sex with men (YMSM) in New York City.
Over the Summer of 2008, CHIBPS surveyed 540 YMSM and we’re now launching the focus group phase of Project Desire.
We’re looking for 60 young gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men to tell us what’s on their mind regarding HIV in NYC.
In return for completing 3 confidential focus groups
(1 hour a week, for 3 weeks), participants will receive $60 and dinner.
Please distribute our cards to any clients, patients, friends, or colleagues who may be interested. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our team at 212-998-5600, or visit our website at www.chibps.org
This project has been approved by the NYU Institutional Review Board as well as the NYC Dept. of Mental Health and Hygiene Institutional Review Board.
